After flying high against Goshen on Thursday, Archbishop McNicholas came back down to earth. The Rockets came up short against the Elder Panthers on Saturday, falling 9-1. The Rockets have struggled against the Panthers recently, as the game was their fifth consecutive lost matchup.

Archbishop McNicholas' defeat dropped their record down to 19-9. As for Elder, they have been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 16-11 record this season.

Archbishop McNicholas and Elder are set to take part in some playoff action in their next matches. The Rockets will face off against Batavia at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday. The last four games the Bulldogs have played have been within two runs, so don't be surprised if it's a close one. As for Elder, they will look to defend their home field on Tuesday against Hamilton at 5:00 p.m.
