Baseball Game Preview: Southeast Whitfield County Raiders vs. Dalton Catamounts

The Southeast Whitfield County Raiders will venture away from home to square off against the Dalton Catamounts at 5:30 p.m. on Monday. Southeast Whitfield County has now lost nine straight, leaving the team hunting for their first win since the 7th.

Southeast Whitfield County came up short against Cass on Friday, falling 14-4.

Tucker Townsend made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and scored a run and stole a base while getting on base in all three of his plate appearances.

The home team had won the previous two meetings between Dalton and Allatoona, and Allatoona kept the tradition alive. Dalton took a 6-3 hit to the loss column at the hands of Allatoona on Friday. The Catamounts have struggled against the Buccaneers recently, as the game was their eighth consecutive lost meeting.

Dalton saw seven different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Jose Orrelanes, who scored a run while going 1-for-3. Conrad Coleman also deserves some recognition as he brought in his first RBI of the season.

Dalton's defeat dropped their record down to 14-6. As for Southeast Whitfield County, their loss dropped their record down to 4-17.
