After only one run in their last matchup, CrossPointe Christian Academy made sure to put some runs up on the board against Abundant Life Christian Academy on Tuesday. The Cavaliers put the hurt on the Lions with a sharp 18-3 victory. The result was nothing new for the Cavaliers, who have now won six games by ten runs or more so far this season.

Hayden Brantley looked comfortable as he tossed two innings while giving up no earned runs off three hits.

At the plate, CrossPointe Christian Academy let Gaines Casey and Banks Casey run wild. Gaines went a perfect 3-for-3 with four RBI, two runs, and one triple, while Banks went 2-for-3 with three runs, four RBI, and one stolen base. CrossPointe Christian Academy is 6-1 when Gaines posts two or more runs, but 1-4 otherwise. Levi Patterson also deserves some recognition as he hit his first double of the season.

CrossPointe Christian Academy always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .700. That's the best OBP they've posted all season.

CrossPointe Christian Academy is on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 7-5 record this season. Those wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 13.8 runs over those games. As for Abundant Life Christian Academy, they are on a nine-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 0-9.

Coincidentally, CrossPointe Christian Academy and Abundant Life Christian Academy will both be playing New Creation Christian Academy the next time they take the field. The Cavaliers will head out to face the Crusaders at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday, while the Lions will head out to face them at 6:00 p.m. on Monday.
