Preview: Mira Monte Lions vs. Highland Scots
After two games on the road, Mira Monte is heading back home. They will take on the Highland Scots at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.
On November 15th, Mira Monte came up short against Garces Memorial and fell 31-22.
Meanwhile, it's never fun to lose, and it's even less fun to lose 58-31, which was the final score in Highland's tilt against East Bakersfield on Tuesday.
Highland's loss came about despite a quality game from Eternety Proctor, who scored 9 points. Another player making a difference was Sari Scroggs, who scored 6 points.
Mira Monte's defeat dropped their record down to 0-2. As for Highland, their loss dropped their record down to 1-3.
Mira Monte strolled past Highland in their previous meeting back in February of 2022 by a score of 44-28. Will Mira Monte repeat their success, or does Highland have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
