Softball Recap: Eagle Grove Now 7-2 over Last Nine Games

There's no place like home for Eagle Grove, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Tuesday. Their pitchers stepped up to hand the North Iowa Bison an 8-0 shutout on Wednesday. The result was nothing new for the Eagles, who have now won nine games by eight runs or more so far this season.

Eagle Grove is on a roll lately: they've won seven of their last nine matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 12-6 record this season. The wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 3.4 runs on average over those games. As for North Iowa, they are on a ten-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 5-14.

Eagle Grove wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next contest, a 7-5 loss against Webster City on the 3rd. As for North Iowa, they have also already played their next game, an 11-4 victory against West Hancock on the 3rd.
