Softball Recap: Osborne Comes Up Short

Osborne was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their sixth straight defeat dating back to last season. They lost 15-1 to the McEachern Indians. If the Cardinals were looking for revenge after losing 18-0 to the Indians when the teams met back in September of 2024, then they'll just have to keep looking.

Osborne's loss dropped their record down to 0-2. As for McEachern, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 2-1.

Osborne will get a bit of extra time to process the defeat as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on South Cobb at 5:30 p.m. on the 25th. The Cardinals' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Eagles have averaged an impressive 6.5 runs per game this season. As for McEachern, they didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next matchup, a 20-3 loss against Campbell on the 19th.
