Softball Game Preview: Mountain View Mountain Lions vs. Thompson Valley Eagles

The Mountain View Mountain Lions will head out to square off against the Thompson Valley Eagles at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. Having both just faced considerable losses, both teams are looking to turn things around.

Mountain View came up short against Timnath on Tuesday, falling 13-1. The Mountain Lions have struggled against the Cubs recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive lost matchup.

Mountain View saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Izabella Atwood, who went 1-for-2 with one run.

Meanwhile, Tuesday just wasn't the day for Thompson Valley's offense. They lost 10-0 to Wellington on Tuesday.

Mountain View's loss dropped their record down to 3-18-1. As for Thompson Valley, their defeat dropped their record down to 7-15.

Mountain View might still be hurting after the 12-3 loss they got from Thompson Valley when the teams last played back in September. Can the Mountain Lions avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
