Soccer Recap: Sandia Comes Up Short in High-Profile Matchup with Eldorado

Sandia faced Eldorado in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Wednesday. The Matadors took a 3-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Golden Eagles. Sandia were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced Eldorado earlier this season, when they won 1-0.

Sandia's goal came courtesy of Isaiah Ornelas, who's now up to 16 this season.

With the defeat, Sandia broke their three-match winning streak and moved their record to 13-4-2. As for Eldorado, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 11-5-3.
