Volleyball Recap: Savannah Takes a Loss

It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact Savannah can now relate to. They lost 3-0 to the Oak Grove Panthers on Thursday. The Savages were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Panthers apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in September of 2023.

Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-21, 25-17, 25-14.

Taylor Hilsabeck paced Savannah's offense, picking up 13 kills. Hilsabeck got some help from Reece Gould and her 22 assists. Hilsabeck also made an impact serving: she shared the team lead in aces with Mylee Schrick, each putting up two.

Savannah's defeat dropped their record down to 19-10-1. As for Oak Grove, the win keeps them at an undefeated 34-0-1.

Savannah does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Oak Grove, they didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 3-0 victory against Nevada on the 1st.
