Football Recap: St. John's/Tipton Catholic Comes Up Short

St. John's/Tipton Catholic lost against Lincoln back in September of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Blujays took a blow against the Leopards, falling 62-14. The Blujays have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Brooks Dunstan threw for 99 yards and one TD. Cadyn Brummer was his top target, picking up 52 receiving yards and one score.

Lincoln's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Jeremiah Miller, who rushed for 160 yards and three touchdowns on only 14 carries, and also threw for 106 yards and a pair of TDs. Miller is crushing it when it comes to rushing touchdowns: he's punched in at least two every time he's taken the field this season. Lincoln's leading receiver Xavier Miller was Jeremiah's top target yet again, picking up 84 receiving yards and a pair of scores, while also rushing for 97 yards and one touchdown.

St. John's/Tipton Catholic now has a losing record of 1-2. As for Lincoln, they pushed their record up to 3-0 with the victory, which was their fourth straight on the road dating back to last season.

Looking ahead, St. John's/Tipton Catholic will host Osborne at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. This will be the Blujays' first chance to prove their worth in the conference. As for Lincoln, they will head out to take on Washington County at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
