Volleyball Game Preview: Hortonville Polar Bears vs. Appleton North Lightning

Hortonville hasn't had much luck against Appleton North recently, but that could start to change on Thursday. The Polar Bears will head out to square off against the Lightning at 7:00 p.m. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.

Hortonville came into their game on Thursday off a hard-fought close win, but unfortunately suffered a serious change of fortune. They came up short against Fond du Lac, falling 3-0. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest loss the Polar Bears have suffered since October 24, 2024.

Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-13, 25-17, 25-15.

Meanwhile, Appleton North came up short against Sheboygan Falls on Saturday and fell 2-0.

Appleton North's defeat dropped their record down to 1-18. As for Hortonville, their loss dropped their record down to 11-9.

Hortonville suffered a grim 3-0 defeat to Appleton North when the teams last played back in September of 2024. Can the Polar Bears avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
