Lutheran waltzed into their match on Monday with four straight wins... but they left with five. Their pitcher stepped up to hand the Arapahoe Warriors a 2-0 shutout. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest win the Lions have posted since October 26, 2024.

Not much got past Annie Schroeder, who gave up just a hit and racked up 17 Ks to keep Arapahoe off the board. Schroeder has been consistent: she hasn't given up more than one earned run in five consecutive appearances.

At the plate, Lutheran's victory was truly a team effort as five different players contributed at least one hit. One of them was Sophia Reed, who went 1-for-3 with one stolen base and one run.

Lutheran's win bumped their record up to 8-3. As for Arapahoe, their loss dropped their record down to 8-4.

Looking ahead, Lutheran will challenge Palmer Ridge at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday. The Lions' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Bears have averaged an impressive 9.3 runs per game this season. As for Arapahoe, they will welcome Rock Canyon at 3:30 p.m. on Thursday.
