Norris and Bennington are an even 5-5 against one another since September of 2018, but likely not for long. The Titans will welcome the Badgers at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday. The last four games Norris has played have been within two runs, so don't be surprised if it's a close one.

Norris fought the good fight in their extra-innings matchup against Hastings on Tuesday but wound up with a less-than-desirable result. They fell just short of the Tigers by a score of 2-1. The Titans' defeat signaled the end of their three-game winning streak.

Reese Behrends was huge no matter where she played even without the win. She looked comfortable on the mound, tossing 7.2 innings while giving up just one earned run off three hits. Behrends was also solid in the batter's box, going 1-for-3 with one home run.

Meanwhile, Bennington never let their opponents score on Wednesday. They were the clear victors by an 8-0 margin over Lincoln Northwest. The result was nothing new for the Badgers, who have now won six contests by seven runs or more so far this season.

Like Norris, Bennington also got a great game from a two-way player: Skylar Johnson. On the mound, she struck out eight batters over three innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit. Those eight strikeouts gave Johnson a new career-high. She was also big at the plate, going 1-for-3 with two RBI and one double.

Johnson wasn't the only one making solid contact as eight players wound up with at least one hit. One of them was Ally Blomenkamp, who went a perfect 1-for-1 with one triple and one RBI. That hit marked the first that Blomenkamp has got this season. Taylor Redmond was another, going a perfect 2-for-2 with one run and one RBI.

Bennington's win was their first in the district, bumping their district record up to 1-3 and their overall record up to 9-9. As for Norris, their loss dropped their record down to 15-8.
