Arcata and Fortuna are an even 4-4-2 against one another since October of 2022, but likely not for long. The Tigers will venture away from home to take on the Huskies at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Arcata is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 4.8 goals per game this season.

Arcata is coming in fresh off a high-stakes matchup with another one of California's top teams: Del Norte, who was ranked 11th at the time (Arcata was ranked ninth). The Tigers and the Warriors finished up their match with a 2-2 draw on Wednesday. The result kept Arcata happy, as they haven't lost a game since August 29th.

Lars Gerdes and Windston Stratton scored both of Arcata's goals, bringing their combined season tally to 22 goals.

Meanwhile, Fortuna waltzed into their matchup on Saturday with two straight wins... but they left with three. They never let the Loggers get on the board and left with a 1-0 victory.

Arcata's draw gives them a new season record of 12-2-4. As for Fortuna, their win bumped their record up to 18-1-1.

Arcata beat Fortuna 3-1 when the teams last played on October 4th. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Tigers since the squad won't have the home-pitch advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
