Football Recap: Muncie Central Sets Scoring Season-High Against Marion + How To Watch

Muncie Central's game last Friday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Friday. They put the hurt on the Marion Giants with a sharp 41-21 win. The Bearcats' offense stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most points they've scored all season.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Muncie Central to victory, but perhaps none more so than Landan Johnson, who rushed for 196 yards and one touchdown while picking up 10.9 yards per carry. With that strong performance, Johnson is now averaging an impressive 110.8 rushing yards per game. Another rusher making a difference was Dae'Cion Echols, who rushed for 75 yards and three TDs.

They were just one part of a punishing run game: Muncie Central was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 352 rushing yards. That's the most rushing yards they've managed all season.

Muncie Central didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off three passes before the game was over. The picks came courtesy of Kye Hiatt and Jayden Tyree.

Despite the loss, Marion still got an impressive performance from Timotheus Jones, who rushed for 62 yards and one score, and also picked up 86 receiving yards.all of that, rushing production came thanks to one massive run

With the victory, Muncie Central broke their three-game losing streak and moved their record to 2-3. As for Marion, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-4.
