Basketball Game Preview: Philadelphia Military Academy Knights vs. Nueva Esperanza

The Philadelphia Military Academy Knights will venture away from home to challenge Nueva Esperanza at 3:15 p.m. on Monday. Philadelphia Military Academy's defense has only allowed 27.7 points per game this season, so Nueva Esperanza's offense will have their work cut out for them.

Philadelphia Military Academy got their first taste of in-conference action this week and they started things off strong. They breezed by Jules E. Mastbaum Vo-Tech to the tune of 42-9 on Wednesday.

Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Nueva Esperanza). They narrowly escaped with a win as the squad sidled past Thomas A. Edison 41-39.

Nueva Esperanza's victory was their first in the conference, bumping their conference record up to 1-2 and their overall record up to 3-5. As for Philadelphia Military Academy, their record now sits at 2-5.

Philadelphia Military Academy came up short against Nueva Esperanza when the teams last played back in February of 2024, falling 42-31. Can Philadelphia Military Academy avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
