Softball Recap: Wetumka Comes Up Short

Wetumka fell victim to Stuart and their airtight pitching crew on Tuesday. They wound up with the same score they had in their last game (10-0), but sadly the team found themselves on the wrong side of the score this time. They have struggled against the Hornets recently, as the game was their seventh consecutive lost matchup.

Wetumka's loss dropped their record down to 7-3. As for Stuart, their victory was their seventh straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 4-1.

Looking ahead, Wetumka will take on Depew at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. The Hornets' pitching crew has only allowed 3.8 runs per game this season, so the Chieftains' hitters will have their work cut out for them. As for Stuart, they will head out to face off against Roff at 5:30 p.m. on the 29th.
