Basketball Recap: Monterey Trail Victorious

Monterey Trail won the last time they faced Gregori and things went their way on Saturday too. The Monterey Trail Mustangs came out on top against the Gregori Jaguars by a score of 55-43.

Gregori lost despite a true team effort on offense, the best among them being Veronica Whitten, who dropped a double-double on 17 points and 13 boards. That's the most points Whitten has posted since back in January. Alanah Lopez was another key player, putting up 13 points and five rebounds.

Monterey Trail now has a winning record of 4-3. As for Gregori, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 7-7.

Monterey Trail wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next matchup, a 70-55 defeat against Colfax on the 23rd. As for Gregori, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 43-39 victory against Franklin on the 23rd.
