Baseball Recap: Trinity Christian Comes Up Short

Trinity Christian was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss. They were two runs away from ending the streak, but they lost a 7-5 heartbreaker at the hands of Lovett. Unfortunately, that's the fourth time they've come up short against Lovett this season, with their most recent defeat being a 10-5 loss on Thursday.

Tj Ford made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and went 2-for-4 with one triple, one run, and one RBI.

Trinity Christian's defeat dropped their record down to 20-14. As for Lovett, the victory was the eighth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 29-5.

Trinity Christian does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Lovett, they will take on Wesleyan on Wednesday. The Lions' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Wolves have averaged an impressive 6.9 runs per game this season.
