Baseball Recap: Logansport Picks Up Second Consecutive Win

Logansport and Oak Hill pushed the score to 13-12 the last time they played Oak Hill, but on Tuesday defenses reigned supreme. The Berries never let the Golden Eagles get on the board and left with a 2-0 win. For the Berries, this counts as revenge for the 13-12 victory the Golden Eagles walked away with the last time they faced one another back in May of 2025.

Not much got past Braylon Ritchie, who gave up just a hit and racked up eight Ks to keep Oak Hill off the board. Ritchie has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't given up more than two walks in four consecutive appearances.

At the plate, the team relied heavily on Hudson Shank, who went 2-for-3 with one stolen base, one run, and one RBI.

The win made it two in a row for Logansport and bumps their season record up to 16-9. They've had to fight for that success though, as they only beat their opponents by an average of 1.5 runs across that stretch. As for Oak Hill, they moved to 19-6 with that defeat, which also ended their six-game winning streak.

Looking ahead, Logansport will head out to take on Peru at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for Oak Hill, they will host Tipton at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday.
