Soccer Game Preview: Horizon Science Academy vs. River Valley

The Horizon Science Academy Hawks will head out on the road to face off against the River Valley Vikings at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday. Horizon Science Academy has been dominant on offense recently, having racked up an incredible 18 goals over their last three matchups.

On Tuesday, Horizon Science Academy earned a 5-3 win over Heath. Regan Shozi was a massive factor in the win as he booted in four goals all by himself.

Meanwhile, River Valley lost 6-3 to Clear Fork on Tuesday. Things were pretty much settled by the half as River Valley were already down 4-0.

Horizon Science Academy has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won eight of their last nine matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 9-2-1 record this season. Those victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored 55 goals over those nine contests. As for River Valley, they have been struggling recently as they've lost six of their last eight matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 4-8-2 record this season.

Horizon Science Academy couldn't quite get it done against River Valley in their previous meeting back in August of 2018 as they fell 3-1. Can the Hawks avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
