Soccer Game Preview: Tamalpais vs. Burlingame

The Tamalpais Red Tailed Hawks will venture away from home to take on the Burlingame Panthers at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Neither team made it on the board the last time they hit the pitch, so they've probably got a bit of extra motivation.

Tamalpais will head out to face Burlingame after giving up their first home loss of the season on Monday. Tamalpais fell just short of St. Ignatius College Preparatory by a score of 2-1.

Tamalpais' goal came courtesy of Marissa Scanlan, which was the first she's scored this season.

Meanwhile, it was a proper cat-fight when Burlingame challenged Marin Academy back in December of 2024. Burlingame might have been a little too into the holiday spirit, gifting Marin Academy an easy 4-1 victory. While losing is never fun, the Panthers can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' California soccer rankings (they are ranked 432nd, while the Wildcats are ranked 80th).

The defeat was their first at home , dropping their record down to 4-2-3. As for Burlingame, their loss dropped their record down to 2-5-1.
