Football Recap: Lincoln's Undefeated Season over After Five Games

After flying high against Franklin last Friday, Lincoln came back down to earth. The Cardinals fell 18-14 to the Roosevelt Roughriders on Friday. The game marked the Cardinals' lowest-scoring contest so far this season.

Having lost for the first time this season, Lincoln fell to 4-1. As for Roosevelt, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 2-3.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming matchups. Lincoln will take on McDaniel at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Roosevelt, they will face off against Jefferson at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. The Roughriders will be up against the Democrats' rather soft defense (which has allowed 30.8 points per contest), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance.
