Baseball Recap: Central Comes Up Short

Central has relied on a stalwart pitchers averaging 3.76 runs allowed per game, but that average took a hit on Wednesday. They fell just short of the Lee-Scott Academy Warriors by a score of 11-9. The Lions just can't catch a break and have now endured four losses in a row.

Central's defeat dropped their record down to 20-5. As for Lee-Scott Academy, they are on a roll lately: they've won 14 of their last 17 matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 20-10 record this season.

Central will look to defend their home field on Thursday against South Paulding at 5:30 p.m. The Spartans will roll in looking for their eighth straight victory, something the Lions surely won't give up without a fight. As for Lee-Scott Academy, they will take on Marbury at 4:30 p.m. on Friday.
