Recap: Ramona Rams vs. Norte Vista Braves

Make it nine blowout wins for the Ramona Rams this season. They blew past Norte Vista 62-40. The win was familiar territory for Ramona who now have four in a row.

Ramona's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Olivia Molina led the charge by dropping a double-double on 19 points and 11 rebounds. Molina continues to roll, besting her previous point total in each of the last three games she's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Athena Berber, who scored 16 points along with eight rebounds.

When it comes to explaining why Norte Vista lost on Thursday, one person who can't be blamed is Hope Brookins. Despite the final result, she scored 24 points. That was a full 60% of Norte Vista's points, marking the sixth time in a row she's earned more than a third of the team's points.

Ramona has been performing well recently as they've won six of their last eight matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 12-10 record this season. As for Norte Vista, their loss ended a three-game streak of away wins and brought them to 10-10.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Ramona the luxury of staying home another game and will welcome Patriot at 6:30 p.m. on January 16th. Hopefully Patriot focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 29 last Tuesday. As for Norte Vista, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Hillcrest at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
