Football Recap: Curtis Turns Things Around After Road Loss

There's no place like home for Curtis, who bounced back after a loss on the road last Saturday. They enjoyed a cozy 27-8 victory over the DeWitt Clinton Governors on Thursday. The final result isn't all that surprising considering the Warriors' considerable advantage in MaxPreps' New York football rankings (they are ranked 22nd, while the Governors are ranked 338th).

Curtis' win bumped their record up to 8-1. As for DeWitt Clinton, their loss dropped their record down to 1-6.

We've got plenty of inter-league action coming up soon. Curtis will face off against rival Tottenville at 6:00 p.m. on November 7. Meanwhile, DeWitt Clinton is set to challenge their familiar foe Port Richmond at 12:00 p.m. on November 9.
