Basketball Recap: Burroughs Picks Up Sixth Consecutive Win

Burroughs had already won five in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 21.4 points) and they went ahead and made it six on Friday. They came within four points of losing the streak, but they secured a 53-49 W against the Tracy Bulldogs. 53 seems to be a good number for the Bears as the squad scooped up a win with the same number of points in their previous game.

Burroughs' victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Rielle Waddell, who dropped a double-double with 12 points and 12 boards. The team also got some help courtesy of Isabella Amayakyan, who almost dropped a double-double with 15 points and nine rebounds.

Burroughs smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 21 offensive rebounds. That's the most offensive boards they've posted since back in February of 2025.

Burroughs' record is now 8-6. As for Tracy, they now have a losing record of 7-8.
