Recap: Elliot Christian Eagles vs. Millennium Falcons
Even though the Elliot Christian Eagles have not done well against the Millennium Falcons recently (they were 1-8 in their previous nine matchups), they didn't let the past get in their way on Monday. Elliot Christian sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 47-44 win over Millennium. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest victory Elliot Christian has posted yet this season.
Bella Perry was her usual excellent self, scoring 24 points along with nine rebounds and five assists. That makes it five consecutive games in which she has scored at least a third of Elliot Christian's points. Another player making a difference was Jessica Williams, who scored seven points along with five rebounds.
Elliot Christian pushed their record up to 10-3 with that victory, which was their seventh straight on the road. As for Millennium, their loss dropped their record down to 9-11.
Coincidentally, both teams will both be playing Venture Academy the next time they take the court. Elliot Christian will host Venture Academy at 6:30 p.m. on Friday, while Millennium will host them at 6:30 p.m. on Monday.
