Football Recap: Walkersville's Undefeated Season over After Three Games + How To Watch

After flying high against South Carroll last Friday, Walkersville came back down to earth. The Lions took a 29-22 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Urbana Hawks on Friday. The Lions were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Hawks apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in March of 2021.

Cayden McIver was nothing short of spectacular for Urbana: he rushed for 183 yards and one score while picking up 7.3 yards per carry. Brody Cummings got in on the action too, returning a kick for a touchdown.

Having lost for the first time this season, Walkersville fell to 2-1. As for Urbana, they now also have a winning record of 2-1.

Coming up, Walkersville will challenge Linganore at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. The Lions will need to watch out since the Lancers have now posted at least 31 points every time they've taken the field this season. As for Urbana, they will square off against South River at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. The Hawks will need to watch out since the Seahawks have now posted at least 31 points every time they've taken the field this season.
