Basketball Recap: Stone Ridge Christian Falls Short of Faith Christian in the Playoffs

It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact Stone Ridge Christian can now relate to. They were outmatched by the Faith Christian Lions and fell 73-43. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest loss the Knights have suffered since February 20, 2024.

Several Knights players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Bella Ewing, who posted 15 points. That was a full 34.9% of Stone Ridge Christian's points, marking the 24th time in a row Ewing has earned more than a third of the team's points. The team also got some help courtesy of Alyssa Fredricks, who had eight points and ten rebounds.

Lauren Harris continued her habit of posting crazy stat lines for Faith Christian, dropping a double-double with 35 points and 14 boards. Harris' evening made it seven games in a row in which she has scored at least 24 points. Presley Berry was another key player, almost dropping a double-double with 25 points and nine rebounds.

Stone Ridge Christian's defeat dropped their record down to 14-10. As for Faith Christian, the win was the 16th in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 24-2.

Stone Ridge Christian does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Faith Christian, they will challenge Vacaville Christian at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Faith Christian knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with 55 points or more in their past nine games -- so hopefully Vacaville Christian likes a good challenge.
