After low-scoring totals in their previous four game, Doniphan West brought some dynamite into their most recent matchup. They breezed past the Horton Chargers to the tune of 34-0 on Friday. The Mustangs not only won on Friday, but they posted their biggest win since October 31, 2024 (when they won 65-27).

Doniphan West found their leader in sophomore Rucker Harring, who rushed for 117 yards and one touchdown on only eight carries. Prezten Pace was another key player, rushing for 83 yards and one TD on only ten carries.

Wins are hard to come by when you can't run the rock, something Doniphan West proved: they limited Horton to a paltry 2.6 yards per carry. The Mustangs didn't have any issues in that department, having averaged eight.

Doniphan West's victory bumped their record up to 2-6. As for Horton, they are on a nine-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-8.
