Softball Recap: Atkinson County Comes Up Short

After flying high against Montgomery County on Tuesday, Atkinson County came back down to earth. The Rebels came up short against the Clinch County Panthers on Thursday, falling 9-3. The Rebels have struggled against the Panthers recently, as the game was their ninth consecutive lost matchup.

Atkinson County's loss dropped their record down to 2-8. As for Clinch County, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 8-3.

We've got plenty of inter-region action coming up soon. Atkinson County will square off against rival Charlton County at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Meanwhile, Clinch County is set to face off against their familiar foe Echols County at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
