Soccer Recap: Everett Alvarez Comes Up Short

After soaring to four goals the game before, Everett Alvarez was a bit more limited in their game on Thursday. They fell just short of the Monterey Dores by a score of 2-1. The Eagles were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Dores earlier this season, when they won 2-1.

Everett Alvarez's goal came courtesy of Jennifer Montes, who's now up to 12 this season.

Everett Alvarez has traveled a rocky road recently having lost five of their last six contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 7-10 record this season. As for Monterey, their victory bumped their record up to 5-10.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Everett Alvarez will head out to face off against Hollister at 5:45 p.m. on February 14th. As for Monterey, they will venture away from home to take on Watsonville at 6:45 p.m. on Wednesday. Someone's luck will take a turn for the better: Watsonville has lost four straight at home , while Monterey has lost five on the road.
