Shawnee Mission West has given up an average of 39.2 points per game this season, but Friday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.

Shawnee Mission West is headed into the contest out to prove that what happened against Olathe North on Friday (when they were outscored in every quarter) was just a minor bump in the road. The Vikings had to suffer through a 41-7 loss at the hands of the Eagles. They were the clear victors by a 31-10 margin over the Bison. 31 seems to be a good number for the Ravens as the squad scooped up a win with the same number of points in their previous game.

Shawnee Mission West's loss dropped their record down to 1-4. As for Olathe Northwest, their victory bumped their record up to 4-1.

Shawnee Mission West took a serious blow against Olathe Northwest in their previous matchup back in October of 2024, falling 45-0. A big factor in that loss was the dominant performance of the Ravens' Jaelen Douglas, who rushed for 104 yards and four scores.
