Basketball Recap: Meadowbrook Christian Snags Fourth Win in Last Five Games

Columbia County Christian came into Friday's game looking for another win against Meadowbrook Christian, but Madalyn Fasnacht wouldn't allow it. Meadowbrook Christian walked away with a 31-23 win over Columbia County Christian on Friday thanks in part to Fasnacht, who dropped a double-double with 20 points and 17 boards. That makes it 23 consecutive games in which she has scored at least a third of Meadowbrook Christian's points.

Ashleigh Boudman and Elizabeth Yocum certainly did their best on Friday to avoid the loss. Boudman posted nine points, while Yocum earned seven points. That's the most points Yocum has posted since back in December of 2024.

Meadowbrook Christian is on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 16-8 record this season. Columbia County Christian's defeat dropped their record down to 15-6.

Looking ahead, Meadowbrook Christian won't have much time to rest: their next contest is against Johnstown Christian at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday. As for Columbia County Christian, they will also get right back to it: they'll take on Northumberland Christian at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday.
