Softball Recap: Wilcox County Comes Up Short

Wilcox County was the 13-4 winner over Schley County when they last played one another back in October of 2022, but their luck changed this time around. The Patriots took a 7-4 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Wildcats on Thursday. Patriots fans who chose to attend the game sure picked the wrong one: it was the first time the team has lost against the Wildcats since Thursday.

This is the second loss in a row for Wilcox County and nudges their season record down to 4-7. As for Schley County, their win ended a four-game drought on the road and puts them at 2-6.

Looking ahead, Wilcox County will be playing at home against Johnson County at 5:30 p.m. on Monday. As for Schley County, they will take on Hawkinsville at 5:00 p.m. on Monday.
