Soccer Game Preview: Peninsula vs. Wiseburn- Da Vinci

The Peninsula Panthers will venture away from home to face off against the Wiseburn- Da Vinci Wolves at 6:00 p.m. on Friday.

Thursday just wasn't the day for Peninsula's offense. They fell just short of El Segundo by a score of 1-0 on Thursday. The defeat continues a trend for the Panthers in their matchups with the Eagles: they've now lost four in a row.

Meanwhile, for the first time this season, Wiseburn- Da Vinci was forced to settle for a draw. They and North finished up their match with a 2-2 draw on Tuesday. The outcome might've been different if Liya Nartey hadn't been hit with a yellow card, which no doubt limited her ability to make aggressive plays down the stretch.

Olivia Gosner and Nartey scored both of Wiseburn- Da Vinci's goals, bringing their combined season tally to 13 goals.

Peninsula's loss dropped their record down to 7-6-2. Wiseburn- Da Vinci's draw gives them a new season record of 7-5-1.
