Softball Recap: Hillsboro Comes Up Short

Hillsboro lost against Marquette on Friday and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Monday. The Hawks fell just short of the Mustangs by a score of 5-4.

Ally Uphoff and Ella Sabourin stepped up to the plate in a big way. Uphoff went 1-for-4 with one home run and three RBI, while Sabourin went 2-for-3 with one home run and two runs. That home run was Sabourin's first of the season.

Hillsboro has traveled a rocky road recently, having lost three of their last four games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 11-10-1 record this season. As for Marquette, the win was the fourth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 7-2.

As of now, neither Hillsboro nor the Mustangs have any future games scheduled.
