Softball Recap: Rangeview Drops Season-High Score on Thomas Jefferson

After having lost a blowout in their previous game against George Washington, Rangeview was happy to have turned things around on Thursday. They put the hurt on the Thomas Jefferson Spartans with a sharp 17-5 victory. The Raiders' hitters stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most runs they've scored all season.

Anabelle Velasco was incredible, getting on base in three of her four plate appearances with four RBI, two runs, and one stolen base. Those four RBI gave her a new career-high. Isabelle Clark was another key player, getting on base in all three of her plate appearances with three runs, one stolen base, and one RBI.

Rangeview was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .385. That was just more of the same: they've now posted a batting average of .308 or higher in five consecutive matches.

Rangeview's first win this season bumped their record up to 1-4-1. As for Thomas Jefferson, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 0-4.

Coming up, Rangeview will square off against Mullen at 4:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Thomas Jefferson, they will take on Denver South at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday.
