Recap: Foothill Mustangs vs. Bradshaw Christian The Pride
The Foothill Mustangs have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won four matchups by 29 points or more this season. They simply couldn't be stopped on Wednesday as they easily beat Bradshaw Christian 52-11 at home. That 52-11 margin sets a new team best for Foothill this season.
Foothill's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Joyce Runner led the charge by scoring 16 points. That makes it five consecutive games in which Runner has scored at least 25% of Foothill's points. Zeniah Thompson was another key contributor, scoring 14 points.
Foothill's victory bumped their record up to 6-3. As for Bradshaw Christian, they are on a nine-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-12.
Foothill and Lincoln will round out the year against one another at 8:00 p.m. on December 28th at. Lincoln presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than Foothill in California (Lincoln is ranked 178th, while Foothill is ranked 690th). Bradshaw Christian will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Galt at 7:00 p.m. on January 5, 2024. Galt is coming into the game on a three-game losing streak.
