Baseball Recap: Metter Takes a Loss

It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact Metter can now relate to. They came up short against the Lanier County Bulldogs on Wednesday, falling 12-2. The Tigers were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Bulldogs earlier this season, when they won 4-3.

With the defeat, Metter broke their three-game winning streak and moved their record to 18-15. As for Lanier County, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won 11 of their last 12 contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 28-6 record this season.

While Metter had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 2:00 p.m. on Thursday.
