Rockmart extended their winning streak to four on Wednesday, bumping them up to 9-2. They were the clear victors by a 17-4 margin over the North Murray Mountaineers. The Yellowjackets' hitters stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most runs they've scored all season.

As for North Murray, their defeat ended a three-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 5-5. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest loss they have suffered since August 8th.

For North Murray's part, Kaitlyn Malone was cooking despite her team's loss, going a perfect 2-for-2 with two RBI, one run, and one double.

Coincidentally, Rockmart and North Murray will both be playing Sonoraville the next time they take the field. The Yellowjackets will host the Phoenix at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday, while the Mountaineers will head out to face them at 5:30 p.m. on September 4.
