Soccer Game Preview: East Forsyth vs. Cherokee Bluff

East Forsyth is a perfect 3-0 against Cherokee Bluff since February of 2022 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Tuesday. The East Forsyth Broncos will head out on the road to challenge the Cherokee Bluff Bears at 7:30 p.m.

East Forsyth fought the good fight in their overtime game against Eastside on Friday but wound up with a less-than-desirable result. They fell just short of the Eagles by a score of 4-3. While losing is never fun, the Broncos can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Georgia soccer rankings (they are ranked 141st, while the Eagles are ranked 26th).

Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Cherokee Bluff). They came out on top against Monroe Area by a score of 3-1 on Friday. The victory was some much needed relief for the Bears as it spelled an end to their eight-game losing streak.

Cherokee Bluff's first win this season bumped their record up to 1-8. As for East Forsyth, with the loss, they broke their four-game winning streak and moved their record to 6-4.

East Forsyth beat Cherokee Bluff by a goal in their previous matchup back in February of 2024, winning 1-0. The rematch might be a little tougher for East Forsyth since the team won't have the home-pitch advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
