Baseball Recap: Mount de Sales Academy Comes Up Short

Mount de Sales Academy was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their 11th straight loss. They were a single run away from ending the streak, but they lost a 4-3 heartbreaker at the hands of the Stratford Academy Eagles. The Cavaliers were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Eagles apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in April of 2024.

Amire Vamper was cooking despite his team's loss, going 1-for-2 with two runs and one triple. That triple was his first of the season. Bryson Harrell was another key player, going 1-for-2 with one stolen base and one run.

Mount de Sales Academy's record now sits at 4-15. As for Stratford Academy, they moved to 14-12 with that win, which also ended their three-game losing streak.

Looking ahead, Mount de Sales Academy will be playing in front of their home fans against Robert Toombs Christian Academy at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Stratford Academy, they will head out on the road to square off against Bulloch Academy at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The Eagles will need to watch out since the Gators have now posted at least ten runs in their last four matchups.
