Soccer Recap: Homestead Takes a Loss

Homestead was the 1-0 winner over Los Gatos when they last played one another back in January of 2024, but their luck changed this time around. The Homestead Mustangs fell just short of the Los Gatos Wildcats by a score of 1-0 on Wednesday. While losing is never fun, the Mustangs can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' California soccer rankings (they are ranked 386th, while the Wildcats are ranked 42nd).

Homestead is on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-5-4. As for Los Gatos, they pushed their record up to 8-2-4 with the victory, which was their fourth straight at home.

Homestead will welcome Gunn at 3:30 p.m. on Friday. Homestead is facing Gunn at the right time seeing as Gunn is stuck on a four-game losing streak. As for Los Gatos, they will head out to square off against Santa Clara at 6:00 p.m. on January 29th.
