Softball Recap: Monroe Area Has No Trouble Against Walnut Grove

Monroe Area hadn't done well against Walnut Grove recently (they were 0-3 in their previous three matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Monday. The Purple Hurricanes blew past the Warriors 10-1. The Purple Hurricanes might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won ten games by eight runs or more this season.

Monroe Area has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won six of their last seven matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 15-7 record this season. The victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 10.4 runs over those games. As for Walnut Grove, they dropped their record down to 9-11 with the loss, which was their third straight on the road.
