Preview: Brawley Wildcats vs. Vista Panthers
The Brawley Wildcats will head out on the road to challenge the Vista Panthers at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Brawley will be strutting in after a win while Vista will be coming in after a loss.
Brawley can now show off ten landslide victories after their most recent matchup on Friday. They blew past Calipatria 64-17 on the road. Brawley pushed the score to 54-13 by the end of the third, a deficit Calipatria had no chance of recovering from.
Brawley's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Maliyah Jackson Montoya, who scored 19 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Jaelyn Salceda, who scored 13 points.
Meanwhile, after a string of four wins, Vista's good fortune finally ran out on Friday. They suffered a rough 51-27 loss at the hands of Rancho Buena Vista. The result shouldn't come as a shock considering that's the fewest points Vista has scored all season.
The victory made it two in a row for Brawley and bumps their season record up to 14-11. As for Vista, their defeat dropped their record down to 20-6.
