Volleyball Recap: Manzano Takes a Loss

Manzano's tournament run continued when they took on St. Michael on Saturday. The Monarchs took a 3-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Horsemen. The Monarchs have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

When it comes to explaining why Manzano lost, don't look at Ava Renner. Despite the final result, she had 20 digs and one assist. Renner is crushing it when it comes to digs: she's had at least 13 every time she's taken the court this season.

Manzano's defeat dropped their record down to 3-2. As for St. Michael's, the victory keeps them at an undefeated 7-0.

Manzano wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next match, a 3-0 win against Atrisco Heritage Academy on the 16th. As for St. Michael's, they have also already played their next contest, a 3-2 victory against Sandia on the 16th.
