Crisp Academy hasn't had much luck against Grace Christian Academy recently, but that could start to change on Tuesday. The Wildcats will challenge the Cougars at 5:00 p.m. Grace Christian Academy took a loss in their last game and will be looking to turn the tables on Crisp Academy, who comes in off a win.
Having struggled with eight losses in a row, Crisp Academy turned things around against Byne Christian on Thursday. They never let the Saints get on the board and left with an 8-0 victory. The Wildcats not only won on Thursday, but they posted their biggest win since March 13th (when they won 17-7).

Wyatt Youngblood made a big impact no matter where he played. He looked comfortable on the mound, striking out eight batters over 3.2 innings while giving up no earned runs or hits (and only one walk). Those eight strikeouts gave him a new career-high. He was also stellar in the batter's box, going 2-for-3 with four stolen bases, three runs, and one triple. He is on a roll when it comes to stolen bases, as he's now snagged at least one in each of the last three games he's played.
In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Reese Reed, who got on base in two of his four plate appearances with three stolen bases, one run, and one RBI. He has become a key player for Crisp Academy: the team is 3-1 when he posts at least two stolen bases, but 2-10 otherwise. Wilk Stevens also deserves some recognition as he snagged his first stolen bases of the season.
Meanwhile, Grace Christian Academy has relied on a stalwart pitchers averaging 3.53 runs allowed per game, but that average took a hit on Thursday. They lost 11-4 to Valwood. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest defeat the Cougars have suffered since February 27th.
Grace Christian Academy saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Jacob Elkins, who went 2-for-4 with two RBI. Another was Daniel Johnson, who went 2-for-4 with one run and one double.
Grace Christian Academy is on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 11-6. As for Crisp Academy, their record now sits at 5-11.
Crisp Academy might still be hurting after the 11-1 loss they got from Grace Christian Academy when the teams last played on April 8th. Can the Wildcats avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
