Volleyball Recap: Willowbrook Comes Up Short

Willowbrook was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They fell 2-0 to the Downers Grove South Mustangs. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Mustangs this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 2-0 back in September.

Julia Amin paced Willowbrook's offense, picking up four kills. Amin got some help from Melanie Marinier and her eight assists.

Willowbrook's defeat dropped their record down to 17-14. As for Downers Grove South, they are on a roll lately: they've won ten of their last 11 contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 20-5 record this season.

Coincidentally, Willowbrook and Downers Grove South will both be playing Crete-Monee the next time they take the court. The Mustangs will head out to face the Warriors at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday, while the Warriors will head out to face them at 8:00 a.m. on Saturday.
